The Cottage

This charming one bedroom cottage has been thoughtfully designed to ensure your utmost comfort. Featuring a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living area, large bedroom, and a luxurious bathroom, it provides the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday or a romantic short break. Every detail has been considered to create a warm and peaceful retreat where you can truly unwind. French windows open from the sitting room onto a sun drenched patio, ideal for al fresco dining, relaxing in the sun or simply soaking up the tranquility of your surroundings.



The cottage is surrounded by breathtaking scenery, with far-reaching views across Dartmoor and beyond. Sheep grazing in the fields opposite the garden add to the idyllic countryside charm.

Accommodation in Detail

Ground Floor

The ground floor features a bright and fully equipped kitchen, complete with a convenient serving hatch to the sitting room and dining area. Modern amenities include an electric hob, dishwasher, microwave and espresso machine, ensuring everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Leading from the kitchen, the separate sitting room is a light-filled and airy space designed for relaxation. A cozy electric woodburner adds warmth and charm, while a comfortable sofa provides the perfect spot to unwind in the evening. A delightful reading alcove, stocked with a selection of books, is perfect for taking in views of the garden through the French windows. These open onto a sunny patio, inviting you to step outside and enjoy the fresh countryside air.

Upstairs

The bedroom has been thoughtfully designed to create a warm and inviting retreat. At its heart is a stunning wooden super king-size bed with a luxurious memory foam mattress, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. Wake up to breathtaking, far-reaching views towards Dartmoor, an ideal spot to watch the sunrise if you're an early riser.

The beautifully designed bathroom offers both style and comfort, featuring a relaxing bath and a spacious shower. Natural stone and glass mosaic tiles blend seamlessly with large Spanish Marcello tiles, all complemented by warm sage green walls. 
A lighted mirror with a built-in Bluetooth speaker adds a modern touch, perfect for setting a soothing ambiance.

Patio & Gardens

French Windows lead out from the sitting room on to a large patio, with dining table and chairs. This area is in full sun throughout the day and is a great place to enjoy al fresco dining, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. An awning is available for a little shade on the hottest of days in the sun!

Opposite the patio is a private garden, where you can enjoy the sunshine from morning till sunset.
Dartmoor View is a shared seating area, with sun loungers providing shade on a hot afternoon. Also great for a sunny morning breakfast.
The patio is also a perfect area for a yoga or meditation practice, as is Dartmoor View, both of which attract the early morning sun.

There is also a lovely patio and garden for the guests' exclusive use, and these are great places to watch the sunset over Bodmin Moor. Being in the country you can enjoy a breathtaking starfield on a clear night, and the sunrises over Dartmoor are stunning.     "The Cottage is very well appointed and comfortable with all modern amenities. Location is rural and quiet but only a mile or two from the A30 Oakhampton/Launceston Road. It would be an excellent central location to explore North or South coast or Dartmoor. So we went down South as far as Tavistock and up to Bude in the North. The countryside is pretty with rolling hills and single track roads and lovely little villages. Location is adjoining the main house but feels very private and has great views over the countryside. Ideal for couples who like exploring in the car." Paul

The cottage is a few minutes drive from the main road and is very quite and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing vacation. We could only stay one day in the cottage during the sunset time (due to busy schedule we planned for Cornwall), but I highly recommend sitting outside to enjoy the view of beautiful Cornwall sunset! The cottage itself is well maintained with great amenities and decor. Georgina and her husband are very kind and they also let us borrow few blankets ahead of the play at Minack theater.
