The Old Barn

The Old Barn

Dating back to the 18th century, The Old Barn was once used as a cattle shelter and granary/feed store, standing untouched for over 50 years. Lovingly restored between 2021 and 2023, it has been transformed into a stunning retreat while preserving its historic charm.

The beautifully designed upstairs open-plan living space features a vaulted ceiling that echoes the barn’s original roof structure, complete with replicas of the old scissor beams. This sense of openness creates a relaxing and inviting atmosphere, perfect for unwinding. The space includes a comfortable seating area and a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, ensuring everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Throughout the barn, modern comforts blend seamlessly with characterful details. Central heating upstairs and underfloor heating on the ground floor provide warmth and luxury. The spacious ground-floor bedroom boasts a striking vaulted ceiling with oak beams, an exposed stone wall, and a tiled floor with underfloor heating, offering a cozy and stylish retreat.

Perched in an elevated position, The Old Barn enjoys breathtaking views across Dartmoor and beyond, making it a truly special place to stay.
